ESDR – Even Strength Defensive Rating – Number of goals per 60 minutes that the player was better (+) or worse (-) than an average NHL player on defense for that season, taking into account strength of teammates and opposition on ice.

ESOR – Even Strength Offensive Rating – Number of goals per 60 minutes that the player was better (+) or worse (-) than an average NHL player on offense for that season, taking into account strength of teammates and opposition on ice.

ESTOI – Even Stength Time On Ice – Total minutes for the season

ESTR – Even Strength Total Rating – Number of goals per 60 minutes that the player was better (+) or worse (-) than an average NHL player for that season -total offensive and defensive contribution- taking into account strength of teammates and opposition on ice.  Consider it a vast improvement on what plus/minus rating is intended to be.

TR – Total Rating – Like ESTR, but taking into account Power Play and Short Handed contributions.
